Heights Global Marketing Alumni

Since its founding, Heights Global Marketing has helped students gain real-world experience in marketing, design, analytics, and strategy. Our alumni have gone on to work across industries, agencies, and companies nationwide.

2015 - First Clients

Heights Global Marketing partnered with Madden School of Business as its first client, followed by early collaborations with Majorly Me and AmeriCU Credit Union.

2015 - Established

Founded in 2015 by Margie Ierlan, Dipankar Rai, and Ann Allen, Heights Global Marketing (HGM) was created to give students a chance to work in marketing and to help small and not for profit organizations with their marketing needs.

2016 - Rebrands

Several partner organizations refreshed their brand identities, including Avertra, Majorly Me, Light to the Darkness, and Sacred Earth Trust. Heights Global Marketing supported these transitions by helping update visual branding and digital presence.

2016 - Service Expansion 

As the organization grew, Heights Global Marketing expanded beyond social media support to include website development, digital strategy, and analytics. Projects with clients such as COHI and MFM Leads reflect this broader range of services.

Present - Still Growing

Heights Global Marketing continues to grow, taking on new clients and expanding services while providing students with hands on marketing experience. The team remains focused on innovation, collaboration, and real-world impact.

2018 - The Board

In 2018, Heights Global Marketing established its first formal executive board structure. This leadership team helped organize the agency’s operations, manage client relationships, and guide future growth.

Gabriella Parsons

Gabriella Parsons

Gabriella is currently a Technical SEO Lead at Terakeet. "Technical SEO Lead at Terakeet, I rely daily on the foundation built at Heights Global Marketing. HGM not only prepared me with practical skills and experience, but also developed the confidence and analytical mindset that drive my success today."

Sean Donovan

Sean Donovan

Sean is currently an editor and videographer at dPost. "HGM was the launching pad for my career. The experiences I gained led me to my first opportunity in the industry and continue to inform my work today."

Gabriella Bordonaro

Gabriella Bordonaro

Gabriella is currently the Client Relations Coordinator for Split14 Creative, a creative agency based in East Syracuse, NY. "I’ve worked here for almost 2 years and utilize my client relations skills gained from HGM everyday. Dr. Ierlan was such an amazing mentor. I was an account manager at HGM and a GA for Dr. Ierlan while receiving my MBA at Le Moyne. I reached out to marketing firms in Syracuse in March of 2024, had an interview in April, and landed the job a week after getting my MBA!"

Lydia Rugaber

Lydia is currently a Senior Brand Manager at Dixon Schwabl + Company "My experience with HGM gave me an inside look at agency life before graduation. Working on real proposals, briefs, timelines, and resource management helped me build practical skills and confidence that accelerated my transition into the industry."

Sarah Cone

Sarah Cone

Sarah is currently working at Pinckney Hugo Group as an Assistant Account Manager. "The amount of experience I received working with real-life clients through HGM helped me get where I am today. Not many interviewers see resumes that include college-aged students working for a student-run marketing firm."

Alana Gonzales

Alana Gonzales

Alana is currently a Senior Digital Strategist at Mower since 2020. "HGM gave me the real world creative, strategy, and client experience that coursework alone may not always provide. Coupled with my studies, the opportunity to work alongside incredible supervisors and likeminded peers put me a step ahead during the job search and interview process. Get in there and test out a range of roles from project management to graphic design—you’ll only be better for it."

Devin Simmons

Devin Simmons

Devin is currently the VP of Sales at WB Blends. "HGM gave me the experience and initiative to consult my own roster of clients after graduation which ultimately introduced me to the company I work for now."

Kat Amico

Kat Amico

Kat works at Equiteq, a global investment bank in NYC, as a Business Development Analyst where she supports business development and sponsor coverage efforts. "Heights Global Marketing gave me hands on experience working with clients and thinking strategically about branding and growth. It helped me build a strong foundation in communication, collaboration and understanding how businesses position themselves."

Jana Day

Jana Day

Jana currently is a Marketing/Business Development Executive at Day Automation by Stark Tech. "Heights Global Marketing helped me develop my videography and content creation skills, which led to a full time role in social media content creation. HGM also helped me learn how to network effectively which translated to my role in business development when helping the team generate leads."

Kyra is currently a Marketing Manager at a Digital Marketing Firm "Being a part of HGM gave me real world experience that helped me have a leg up when interviewing for jobs. My time as Director of Operations at HGM helped me realize the career path I wanted to pursue. I’ll always be grateful for HGM and the foundation it gave me for my career!"
